Built for Flyers, by a Lifelong Problem Solver

I’ve always been a builder, a tinkerer, and a born entrepreneur — constantly looking for ways to make everyday life just a little bit better. Clean living and smart travel have always been passions of mine. And after circling the globe more than ten times, I started noticing something no one really talks about: the airplane air vents are filthy.

On one of my many flights, I found myself staring at the overhead vent — dusty, yellowed, and definitely not something I wanted blowing air straight at my face for five hours. That observation turned into a question: How often are these vents actually cleaned?

I started asking flight attendants, gate agents, and even airport cleaning staff. Then I began watching — closely. Over and over again, I noticed the same thing: cleaning crews rarely (if ever) looked up. The floors got vacuumed, trays wiped, bathrooms restocked… but the vents? Completely ignored.

That’s when the idea for Popi hit me.

What if there was a simple way to create a clean barrier between flyers and dirty air vents? Something you could use in seconds, stash in your bag, and reuse every trip? Something built to feel like it came with the plane, but designed with your comfort and cleanliness in mind?

So I sketched, prototyped, tested, and refined — and that’s how Popi was born.

Today, I’m excited to share Popi with travelers everywhere. It’s a small tool, but it solves a real problem — and once you fly with it, you won’t want to travel without it.

Thanks for being part of the cleaner air travel movement.
